Meet Our Coaches
Varsity Head Coach
Damien Palombaro was born in Buffalo, New York, and began playing hockey at the age of six. He continued playing until his family moved to Ohio in the early 1980s, where limited opportunities made it difficult to continue. However, his passion for the game never faded.
In 2000, he returned to the sport, playing again and coaching alongside his father, who had spent nearly 40 years as a player and coach. For the next 15–16 years, they worked together, and through that experience, he learned the right way to coach. One of the most valuable lessons his father instilled in him was the importance of preparation—having a structured practice plan and ensuring that each drill translates to real game situations.
Beyond strategy and skill development, Damien is driven by his love for the game and the relationships he builds with his players. Year after year, it's the opportunity to mentor, teach, and inspire that keeps him coming back to the rink.
