Summer Program/Tryouts 2018

Ice Time!

Registrations for the PHA Summer Program are now open! The summer program has grown tremendously over the past few years and we are expecting large numbers again this year.

The program is run by the PHA coaching staff. It will begin the first week of July and run until the second week of August. Each session will have a 1 hour on-ice practice followed by a 1 hour off-ice practice. Future Prowlers (grades 2-8) are invited to the practices on 7/24 and 7/26 (no high school aged players that week). Tryouts for the high school aged players will be Tuesday 8/21 and Thursday 8/23.

Due to the anticipated large number of registrations, we may be adding a third hour of ice each week. If needed, this practice will likely be added on Fridays. As of right now, we have only booked Tuesdays and Thursdays. Should our registration numbers grow to the point that we expect more than 40 players on the ice at any given time, we will attempt to book the third hour of ice and assign players two practices a week. The tentative schedule is listed below (subject to change if numbers are large):

Sponsorship Opportunities With PHA

As most of you know, hockey is an extremely costly sport. Ice time alone eats up around two thirds of our budget each year. PHA is seeking the help of corporate sponsors to help off-set the costs to our parents. We are offering two levels of sponsorship, Silver and Gold. Here are the details of the sponsorships:

  • Silver: Link to your business from our website. Cost is $250
  • Gold: Link to your business from our website and advertising on the back of our summer program t-shirts. Cost is $500

If you are interested in supporting PHA with a corporate sponsorship, or if you know of someone that might be interested in sponsoring PHA, please contact Nate Hux at
