PHA Summer Program/Tryout Information
PHA will once again offer a summer program for our current and future Prowlers to help prepare them for the up-coming hockey season. The program focuses on skating, skills and conditioning. The sessions will be 2 hours long (1 hour on-ice and 1 hour off-ice). Sessions will be run by our Varsity and JV coaches. Players entering grades 7-12 are eligible to participate in the full summer program.
Additionally, Future Prowlers are invited to participate on 7/25 and 7/27 at no cost! These sessions are for Future Prowlers only (grades 2-8). This is a great way for younger players and families to become familiar with their future high school hockey program.
Fee Schedule for Summer Program/Tryouts:
Future Prowlers grades 2-8 (7/25 and 7/27 only): Free
Future Prowlers Full Summer Program grades 7-8: $150 (includes 7/25 and 7/27 Future Prowler event)
Prowler Summer Program grades 9-12: $200 (includes tryout fees!)
Prowlers' Team Tryouts grades 9-12 (8/22 and 8/24 only): $50
Checks are accepted at any time, but they will not be processed until 7/1/17 or after. (This is because our fiscal year starts on 7/1.) Checks should be made payable to PHA. Send to: Denise Reibold, 823 Mcleod Parc, Pickerington, OH 43147. Credit card payments will be made available through the website starting on 7/1/17.
All participants must register with USA Hockey for the 2017-2018 season prior to registration in the program. Click Here to register with USA Hockey. ($45 fee) You must add/update your player's USA Hockey number in their profile during registration.
PHA will once again be partnering with Donskov Strength and Conditioning this summer. The sessions will run on Monday’s & Wednesday’s from 3pm-4:30pm. The program dates are as follows: June 5-Aug 17 (No training on July 3rd in observance of Independence Day). This is not a PHA run program, but the Donskov's give us a nice break on the price. Normal cost per athlete for this type of session is $625. If we get 20 PHA athletes to join this session, which we always have in the past, they will give us a 40% discount, making the final cost per athlete $375. The program is for grades 8 and up. If you are interested in registering, please contact us at email@example.com.
Congratulations to our Varsity team for making it all the way to the State Finals! It was an exciting tournament with our Prowlers playing their best hockey of the year! This was a great way to end our most successful season in recent history. We had an incredible crowd on hand at the championship game. Thanks to all that drove up to Cleveland to watch our players compete. Click HERE to view the news article from the Pickerington Sun Times. Congratulations also to Dayton, fellow GCHSCHL member, for winning the tournament.
